ABOUT
John M. Delgado, MD.
Orthopedic Trauma and Joint Surgeon
Board Certified
Although I completed my medical education in Chicago and the East coast, I am a California guy at heart. I was born and raised in Los Angeles and completed my undergrad studies at UC Santa Barbara where I earned a B.S. in Microbiology in 1999.
I left California to pursue my medical degree at the University of Illinois, Chicago, IL which I obtained in 2004. I then moved further east to complete my general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Jersey in 2005 and 2009 respectively.
Following my residency, I completed advanced fellowship training in trauma surgery at Penn State University, Pennsylvania in 2010. Upon completion of my fellowship, I returned to New Jersey as an attending physician and assistant professor at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
After five years of practice in New Jersey, I returned to California to be closer to family. Due to an interest in performing complex primary and revision hip and knee replacement, including anterior total hip arthroplasty surgery, I pursued further specialized training.
In 2016, I completed a second fellowship training program in joint reconstruction surgery at the Orthopedic and Spine Institute of Glendale Adventist Medical Center in Glendale, California.
I currently live in Westlake Village with my wife Andrea, daughter Amaya, and our pup Sophie. My hobbies include martial arts/Brazilian Jiu Jitzu, boxing, gym, outdoors, spending time relaxing at our local beaches and also love spending time with my family.
